Hi All, I am a mere neophyte/noob with VMware. On top of this I am rather non-technical. Here is my environment. Host = Windows 7 Professional SP1 Guest = Windows XP VMware = Workstation 8 Until recently, that is today, when I went to open up my VMware, it was working. Today however I get this message: "The file specified is not a virtual disk". I have googled the issue and came across this forum. However, it would seem there are numerous variations on other users problems with similar error messages, so I am posting my own unique experiences. I have however learned enough to know that I can create a vmsupport log, which I am attaching with this message. It's my daily use machine containing my CRM system, I am a business owner, so I need this to run my business each and every day, including today. I am running Acronis True Image, which has created a back up, and am working that avenue to see what I can do to resurrect the last good version of the VMWare. Thanks in advance.
