Hi,
This is bugging me. I followed the excellent document telling me how to setup openssl and replace the ssl certs on vcenter server implementing a Microsoft CA server. All seems well except one thing. When I go to the hardware status tab, it tells me revocation information for the security certificate is ot available, do you want to proceed. This is bugging me because I think I have fixed any problems with this, and this is the only place it appears, I get no other certificate warnings logging in or anything else, it all seems to be working... and further, when I view the certificate, crl distribution point the URL is there to my CDP and when I put it in the browser it indeed pulls up a CRL and there are no revoked certificates in there.. as it should be as I just created it today... so I don't know why I am getting the message. I guess it this is more a MS problem than VMware, but MS in their infinite wisdom seem to have made all their 2008 server formums read-only??? nice.
So anyway, has anyone else seen this and have any idea on why it might happen? I can of course continue, but it bugs me as I spent a lot of time making sure the CDP is available and works as it wan't originally, and then re-requesting certs to make sure they had the correct CDP in it and that it worked and after all that, it still gives me this message :-(
thanks for any one that has any ideas on what this could be... I haven't tried rebooting yet, but that is usually futile, or should be anyway.
Thanks
Bill
