restore VM

I just wanted to resize the partition of one of my VMs on my ESXi 5.1 using vSphere Converter Standalone 5.0.1.

The process was stopped by an error, the new VM was created BUT the old one was deleted (something which the converter normally NEVER does)!

In the log, there was also a command to remove the old one. Because it went so fast, I am very sure that the files were only deleted from the filesystem (I checked that the VM wasn't only removed from inventory) and not overwritten or something else. I immediately shut down all other machines to avoid random-overwrite on these sectors.

So my question: Is there a way to restore this VM? Or at least the .vmdk?

Any help appreciated!
