Move virtual machine from Workstation 9 to Workstation 7

Hello Everyone,

I created a virtual machine (PBX) on VMWare Workstation 9 and I need to move it to Workstation 7.1.  I tried creating a ovf file using ovftool but I could not expand the ovf on the 7.1 side.  Anything else I can do to move the machine over?
