CPU performance issue in virtual machine. We have a SMP virtual machine running Windows XP Pro with SP3 and latest update. This machine is used for an Medical Analysis application. There are some CPU related tasks that run significantly slower in the virtual machine then on hardware workstation (see configuration). During the test there is a single virtual machine running on the host.
I already made some troubleshooting and it seems that the application is heavily relied on floating-point operations.
