We have ESXi host 4.0 running four virtual machine in one of the branch location.
2 VMs are booting from Storage datastore
2 VMs are booting from Local HDD datastore
1 of the VM from local HDD database is interminently getting disconnected but the rest of the 1 VM on the same local datastore is pingable and running fine.
At the same time the other 2 VMs running on the storage datastore is also perfectly running fine.
The one which is getting disconnected comes back to normal after 5-10 mins, in the meanwhile when gone through event logs on the affected VM there is not critical/warning/information event related to.
The affected VM is file server and the issue has occurring frequently now - also I have pasted the error event log from ESXi host / VM as the description says -
Lost connectivity to storage device naa.600508b1001030383536423939301000 . Path vmhba2:C0:T0:L0 is down. Affected datastores: "", "datastore1 (2)", "Hypervisor1", "Hypervisor2", "Hypervisor3".error
After few minutes another event is generated.
Connectivity to storage device naa.600508b1001030383536423939301000 (Datastores: "", "datastore1 (2)", "Hypervisor1", "Hypervisor2", "Hypervisor3") restored. Path vmhba2:C0:T0:L0 is active again. info
The affected VM is stored on the datastore 1(2) which is local HDD datastore.
Kindly suggest.
