Thin Provision Security Issues

Hi,

I remember being told that if you thin provisioned a disk and then used a file recovery tool it may be possible to read data from the underlying storage system.

I just did a quick google but i couldnt find anything,

Has this ever been true. The documentation i can find for v5 says that a thin provisioend disk will return 0 if it has not already been written to.
