I'm seeing Crashplan (lots of large file reads) in a windows 2008 r2 guest on vmware ws9.0.1 on linux mint crash hard after several days of running, once the VMs started crashing (ie. freezing so that only a hard shutdown or the kill command would bring the VM down). The VMs wouldn't stay up. The only way to get the "corrupted" VMs to stay up was to run them in "safe mode with networking" on bootup.
Other 2008r2 VMs on the same linux mint host which don't have crashplan installed in them are working fine.
It seems like "lots of large file reads" is the issue with ws9.0.1 that is causing the VM corruption.
Also once the VM becomes corrupt, uninstalling crashplan does not help, the VM stays corrupt and unstable.
Another friend of mine reported simalar issues today with ws9.0.1 on a windows host.
Are other people having this problem? Any ideas on how to solve it?
Thank you in advance for any help!
