Can one scsi controller support 254 scsi disk?

Hi,all

   I want to know one thing is that:can one scsi controller(0:0) support 254 scsi disk,as I know,one scsi controller only can support 16 scsi disk,even the latest esxi5.1 is the same,if you want to add more disks,you need to creat a new scsi controller(1:0)to add another 15 disks.I don't know how to modify some setting of host or guest to let the guest attach 254 disks.
