Max port groups on a dVS?

Hello all,

I've been looking for a piece of information I thought would be easy to find. You many port groups can you have on a vDS for VMware 5.1?

I've looked over the mxiums guide and I see it's 256 port groups per vSS, and I will be running into a limitation around that due to our environment. Obviously we can use vDS's but I would like to know what the max port groups are per vDS.

Does any one have any information on this? I've Googleing like mad and I can't find any hard numbers.
