accessing from Linux

Hi,

i managed to run commands and pl scripts from Linux to retrieve desired information from Esxi 4. In windows, there is a program PowerCli where i also can run commands. Is there a program also in Linux, where i would execute the commands from..? Right now im executing them from Linux command prompt and not from any CLI program. Thank you.
