We have a number of technical workstations running RedHat Enterprise 4. These users also have their everyday XP desktop machines on their desks. We'd like to migrate their standard XP desktop onto VMs and run them using VMWare Player.
I have Workstation 6 on my RHEL4 machine and am trying to get a VM built using the XP remote install process. I have the physical NIC in the machine configured into two VLAN-tagged virtual NICs, eth0.22 and eth0.43. 22 is the VLAN which the Linux workstations normally live on and 43 is where the XP desktops live. I can't get vmware-config.pl to create a bridged vmnet interface to either of the eth0.xx tagged NICs though. Is this even possible?
