Digital Signage Application - Multiple Monitor Outputs from Host

Hi all,

have used vmware Workstation quite a bit but before I dive into this application, I would like your input.

A client of mine wants to use a single PC to drive four digital signage displays (monitors). They will be using Sharp displays with Sharp Digital Signage Software (SDSS).

The intent of SDSS is that one PC per monitor is set up to drive content such as PowerPoint. The SDSS software really just connects to clients and schedules content.

My thinking is to set up and simultaneously run four VMs, all Windows 7. Each will be running PowerPoint, but I don't suspect that is outside of what a decently powered computer can do.

My question with vmware lies in how I can manage the monitors. I will be putting an ATI FirePro 2450 quad-output card into the PC. What I really need to happen is for each VM to see one output of that FirePro as it's 2nd monitor. Easy accomplished?

If anyone has any input or suggestions on this application, I would appreciate it.
