Hello everyone,
I just got done replacing the self-signed SSL certificate that ships with Update Manager, but I seem to be having a strange comparison issue that is prompting a dialog box. Things went pretty smooth during the install, however every time I login to vCenter, I receive the following dialog box.
Certificate Warnings
The certificate received from "10.123.123.123" was issued for "vcenter.mydomain.com". Secure communication with "10.123.123.123." cannot be guaranteed. Ensure that the fully-qualified domain name on the certificate matches the address of the server you are trying to connect to.
When I click the "View Certificate" button, everything checks out great. Is there a way to force the update manager to compare against the FQDN rather than the IP address?
I am running vCenter 5.1 and using VMware vSphere Update Manager Extension v5.1.0.13071
Thanks for any ideas in advance!
