I am new to virtualisation and VMware so please go easy on me. I appreciate you may have answered many questions like this and this is why i have chosen to raise the topic in a forum as you will all have valuable knowlegde.
I am a Mac user and looking to start building a 2 or 3 machine Windows environment on the Mac. The main purpose for this will be to assist in remote (out of home network) access to my files. I have many photos that i have saved on my Mac that i would like to be able to show to people when i am at their house or even transfer them over to the machine i am using at the other persons house.
The only product that i think i can run in parallel with my mac is the Fusion 5 application. I have checked and the operating systems i am looking to run (Windows 7, 8 and 2012 server) and they run fine on fusion.
My main queries around Fusion 5 are
1. Can you run all three of these virtual machines at the same time?
2. After assigning an IP address, is it possible to do port forwarding to all of these servers so to use remote access?
Any information you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
