This isn't a major issue, but just a configuration question. I am transitioning my new place of employment from running on the vCenter Server Appliance 5.0 to vCenter Server 5.1. The issue I am having is that on the old appliance users could just logon with their username (ex. BobJohnson), but on my new server they are required to use their full AD credentials (BobJohnson@work.com).
Like I said not a major issue, I am just glad the AD linking is working without issue. It's more just me wanting to make the transition as transparent as possible by not requiring my users to logon with a different username than they are use to.
Can anyone point me in the right direction to enable vClient to authenticate with the abreviated username? I am not sure how the guy before me got it working.
