I am new to VM's, so please bear with me. I am trying to run a Dos program from a Windows 98 VM using "Workstaion 9.0.1" When I do, I get a window which takes up about half of the available screen size on my laptop. I have tried the standard Alt-Enter keystroke to go to full screen, but all that does is create a full black screen with a borderless Black Dos window in the center which is much smaller (text and images) than when it wasn't in full screen mode. I also have tried all of the standard changes of properties by right clicking on the Dos window border or the Dos icon and selecting properties. No combination makes any real difference. I have searched these discussions and the Web quite extensively to find a solution, and I can find none. I found a few that were similar, but their solutions didn't work for me. According to microsoft, 64 bit Windows doesn't support 16 bit programs, but it does work somewhat on my computer. I don't know if virtualization is what allows this, and if so, does the video work off the installed driver in Windows 7, or 98, or both? I believe this a screen resolution issue, but I don't know how to handle it.
My computer has the following specs:
Native screen resolution 1366 X 768
O.S. Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 64 bit
I5 processor
