Hi everyone,
I have a problem regarding sending email alerts when vm snapshot size exceeds certain amount of size. (actually any size having issues)
It does send traps ignoring what I actually enter as size there and spamming my inbox.
Go to vcenter alerts - new alarm - Monitor: Virtual Machines - monitor specific conditions or state...
Trigger: Condition: is above
VM Snapshot size (GB) : Warning level:1
VM Snapshot size (GB) : Alert level: 2
Send email to : myself
When i click ok. I got tons of emails from vcenter that all my VMs are above 1GB snapshot size limit! (but it does not according to Storage Views)
Then I set the level to 10GB doesnt make sense. It keeps spamming me that all my VMs having snapshot size exceeded.
This setting was working ok with vcenter 5.0, since I upgraded to vcenter 5.1 this issue appeared. Note that I have 2 vcenters, both of them having the same problem.
You can check attached snapshots.
Vcenter version: 5.1 build: 880146 running on windows server.
Would you kindly try to set the same trap and let me know if this is a bug or not?
Thanks all happy new year
