Hey guys - I set up an ESXi 5.1 host on a new box, but during the initial configuration it was set up on my own network (though I didn't do anything with the IP configuration, host name, DNS, etc - it was all DHCP/autodiscover)
However when I deployed the system today it is still showing my domain (localhost.domain.local) at the top of the Inventory screen above the Getting Started tab.
I've gone into the DNS and Routing page and tried setting it to the correct parameters of the new domain, and it takes the settings, however that line still shows my home network setting.
I'm also having problems getting it to join to the domain via Authentication Services. I don't know what I can do at this point since I'm a free user - not paid, so I don't have access to all the fancy CLI tools. Any tips? A friend of mine has ESXi 5 running on his domain which is a domain.local as well, and it doesn't seem to give him issues getting it joined (I thought it may be because it's not a .com or .org domain name, but since it works fine for him...)
Edit: Also forgot to mention that the time servers are synced and the domain & ESXi host are perfectly matched.
