Hello,
I am using VMWare Workstation Pro 15.0 running under Linux (openSUSE Leap 42.2 / openSuse Leap 15.0) host systems.
I use VMWare to run a Windows 7 guest system in order to use some of those (rare) Windows applications, where there is no Linux alternative alternative yet.
When finished with the Windows guest, I normally don't log off from Windows, I simply suspend the guest system.I resume the guest again, as soon as I need one of those Windows applications.
So far so good: Everything works fine.
However I have a minor problem with the size of the guest window upon startup of the guest.
I would like the guest to start with a window size, which is exactly the size of the guests window as I suspended it before.
The expected behaviour happens sometimes, but mostly the guest comes up with a window width of about 1/3 of the prevously suspended system's width. If that happens, I have to resize the guest to the size wanted. That's easy, but I have to do so quite often.
I use VMWare Workstation Pro for many years already and on every new version I hope, that I don't have to resize the guest any more. Until now it remained a hope only.
My question: Is there a parameter I can change in order to avoid the window resizing upon resume of the guest?
