Adding more storage space

Hey folks

Decided to upgrade from VMWare server 2.0 running on my linux host to a full ESXi 5.1 server (same hardware). But got a small problem, that i have yet to figure out. My server has a 60gig boot SSD and a 8Tb RAID drive running via a Adaptec 6805 controller. I have gotten the controller to work and driver is installed fine. But my problem is the EXT4 partition i have on my RAID drive, i would love to add it to avalible storage for the ESXi server. But it seems that the only thing i can do is format the drive, and that is not really a good solution for me, since the RAID 80% full.

Is there any way to add it, so i can use it in my new ESXi VMs? It's ok if it's just as HDD2 in the VMs. Or do i have to revert back to my old VMWare Server 2.0 again?

Thx
