Apologies if this exact issue has already been discussed and resolved but I could not find a discussion on it.
Issue: Receiving BSOD stop code "page_fault_in_nonpaged_area"
What failed: "gcdbus.sys failed"
When: Appears to be at random but it will happen upon launching an instance of VMware Workstation 14 Player but does not happen every time the player is launched.
Attempt to resolve: After doing some online research; Changed the "Paging file size" to an initial size of 4,096 MB and a maximum size of 12,288 MB (I currently have 4 GB of RAM in my laptop). Changed the "Paging file size" to "System managed size" and "Automatically manage paging file size for all drives". Ran ckdsk /f /r in command prompt as well as the memory diagnostic tool.
Info: I'm not sure of what information would be needed to figure this out in terms of what logs or other files but I will attach the MSinfo.nfo file made after running vm-support.vbs excluding all information but the system summary as I did not think all of the information in the .nfo was pertinent. Please let me know what other information is needed to resolve this.
I am obviously missing something in my research, not piecing something together or not educated or smart enough to figure it out so any help from the community would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
