keyboard just stops controlling vm after like 30 seconds

hi, in my vm's my keyboard will work, then after a short time it starts controlling the host. in other words it stops responding in the vm, but the mouse continues to work.

its a wireless keyboard that has been working fine in the vm's

this just started happening, any ideas?
