Redirect input from USB to a virtual serial adapter

Hi -

I'm testing out VMware View 5.1. I'm trying to get a physical signature pad with a USB and serial port to work with our software within a Win 7 VMware View Desktop. I am aware serial redirection won't work with View.  So i'm working with USB. If i use USB redirection i can get the signature pad to work with the testing software inside of the Win 7 VMware View Desktop. However, the production software inside the desktop only reads data coming from a serial COM interface.

Is there a solution to convert a data input stream from USB to a software created input COM port?
